DULCE VIDA
This feature card is a refinement of a table tent designed for use at Pera Wine & Tapas located in North Dallas featuring the all new Dulce Vida Pineapple Jalapeño Tequila. This was a very short turnaround job, so the goal was to create a design that was eye-catching and could resemble the general art direction of Dulce Vida. DV did not have a brand standards manual on file at the time, so I did my best to emulate their look via their website design back in 2018, using subtle texture, photography and bold lettering. I decided to make updates from the original design to make it even more striking and easier to read at a glance. Below are mockups of the design working as a table tent as well as a poster.
CAMARENA
Here’s a few feature cards designed for The Londoner and Nico’s Cocina featuring two flavors of Camarena Tequila—Silver and Reposado. Very similar situation to the Dulce Vida job, the shot features were short turnaround and only intended to be displayed for a week, so I chose to keep the design bold, dynamic and bespoke rather than in-line with Camarena branding. The Tequila of the Month features were then requested afterwards for use at Nico’s Cocina after the shot features were a hit at The Londoner. Below are mockups of the design in table tents and also explored functionality as an outdoor advertisement.
A Beam Suntory rep requested a feature card promoting Maker’s Mark Whisky for J2 Steakhouse in Lewisville. The intent was to advertise the product in popular cocktails where whisky ins’t typically found. They came up with the phrase “mules are not just for vodka” and wanted a design showing off their new “Maker’s Mule” cocktail exclusive to J2 Steakhouse at the time. I put together this design to fit the art direction of the restaurant and still work to communicate the Maker’s Mark brand. I’ve since updated the design to correct the hierarchy in the typography and removed unnecessary elements.
